Juan Carlos Ferrero took a walk on the wild side, touring Melbourne Zoo on a day off from his tennis duties.
Spaniard Ferrero, who’s cruised into the third-round of the Australian Open with the loss of just 23 games, took time out to check out some of Australia’s most famous native animals during his day trip.
Some sunbathing koalas and a posse of hungry ‘roos were big favorites with the No.4 seed, who also took the opportunity to pet a friendly wombat during his visit.
There will be no monkey business for Ferrero on Day Five of Australian Open 2003, however. He faces wily Frenchman Fabrice Santoro, the tournament’s No.28 seed.
