WESTERN & SOUTHERN FINANCIAL GROUP MASTERS
August 16, 2006
CINCINNATI, OHIO
THE MODERATOR: Questions, please, for Juan Carlos.
Q. Five in the world, big win. You’ve been there, obviously. Was everything clicking today? It was 2 and 4, the score. Seemed to go really well in your favor today?
JUAN CARLOS FERRERO: Well, I think, you know, was not today. I was practicing very well these two weeks in — since I came to United States.
Anyway, last week I lost against González, but I think he play really good. I couldn’t do anything. But I was playing really good so, you know, I keep practicing well. Today, finally, I could make a great win and great tennis.

The court is okay, but altitude made it very quick. I’ve only had one training session because I just arrived. However, I think I returned well, I served well, but I wasn’t able to take advantage of the second set, which seemed to be mine at the beginning. Tiebreaks tend to give the victory to good servers.
